Glass
Safe and anti-burglary
Navello uses laminated glass, obtained combining two glasses with one or more polyvinyl butyral (PVB) cling films.
The laminated glass P4A class resists to several shocks with a 4kg still ball.
In case of attempted theft the glass sheet can crack but it never totally breaks. The laminated glass is anti-hardship, since, in the event of damage, the cling film holds together fragments thus preventing the risk of injuries.
Sound insulation
Sound-insulating glass are indispensable to ensure adequate living facilities in areas subject to high noise pollution, like city centers, areas near airports or stations.
Navello’s doors and windows are tested and certified till 43db of noise reduction, far below legal limits for residential areas (55 db at day and 45db at night).
80db, in fact, is the traffic noise during rush hour in town, and it can be highly reduced with a Navello’s sound insulating window.
Winter thermal insulation
The heat, from inside the house, tends to disperse outwardly through the windows. In order to decrease this loss Navello uses “low-emission” glass which have an invisible metallic coating (couche) that reflects the heat to the inside of the house thus reducing heat loss.
It’s the perfect glass to reduce heating costs in winter because it helps to retain heat, and at the same time it does not limit the sunlight passage, ensuring high levels of brightness.
Warm edge spacer against condensation
The spacer which joins glass plates can be in aluminium or warm edge type, in stainless steel and polypropylene.
The warm edge spacer has double the insulating capacity of aluminium. In this way, thermal transmittance of the entire window is reduced even further.
Another advantage is a reduction in condensation formation along the window border, as well as in mildew formation and colour alteration.
Summer thermal insulation
Solar control (or selective) glass modulates sun rays coming from outside, reducing their entrance in the house.
It’s a great solution to avoid the house overheating.
To the advantages of low-emission glass it combines a lower solar factor (amount of solar energy that enters the house through the glass).
The house, this way, can take advantage of an ideal thermal insulation keeping the heat outside during summer and retaining it inside during winter.
